Welcome to Beidou Elementary School
Beidou Elementary School has a history of over a century and is located in Beidou Township, southeast of Changhua County. Our school is an important part of the community, situated near Beidou Junior High School and National Beitou Senior Home Economic & Commercial Vocational High School. Beidou, once a key transportation hub for southern Changhua, continues to play an important role in local politics and business.
The school is surrounded by historical sites, public offices, and businesses, creating a rich environment for learning. With strong support from parents and the community, Beidou Elementary is known for academic success and helping students develop a wide range of skills.
Recently, Beidou Elementary has focused on the vision of “Cultivating Beauty and Knowledge in Every Student.” We aim to enhance education through arts, aesthetics, reading, digital literacy, and exploring local and diverse cultures. 北斗國小擁有超過一百年的歷史，位於彰化縣東南方的北斗鎮。我們的學校是社區的重要組成部分，毗鄰北斗國中和國立北斗高級家事商業職業學校。北斗過去作為南彰化的重要交通中心，至今仍在地方政治和商業中發揮著重要作用。

Beidou Elementary School Hosts Charity Fair
With a loud gong, Beidou Elementary School kicked off its second-hand charity fair! The schoolyard was filled with over 1,000 toys, school supplies, and daily items. Students eagerly sold items, and all the proceeds will be donated to World Vision to support six underprivileged children. The Parent Association also joined the event, selling gift boxes to raise funds for disadvantaged students at the school.
The event, held before winter break, featured 25 booths run by students from grades 3 to 6. The day began with a string music performance. Afterward, Principal Yu Mei-wen, along with parents and local leaders, struck the "love gong" to officially open the fair. A special highlight was the English-speaking booths run by foreign language teachers, where all transactions were conducted in English.
The fair raised NT$48,000 for World Vision and NT$31,000 from gift box sales to support students in need. Principal Yu said the event taught students to value resources, care for others, and make smart spending decisions.
北斗國小舉辦慈善市集
隨著一聲響亮的鑼聲，北斗國小的二手慈善市集熱鬧開幕！校園內擺滿了超過1,000件玩具、文具及日常用品。學生們熱情地售賣物品，所有收益將捐給世界展望會，幫助六名弱勢兒童。家長會也參與其中，販售禮盒為校內弱勢學生籌款。
這場活動於寒假前舉行，由三到六年級學生經營的25個攤位組成。活動日從弦樂表演揭開序幕。隨後，校長游美文與家長及地方領袖一起敲響「愛的鑼聲」，正式為市集揭幕。活動的特別亮點是由外語教師負責的英語攤位，所有交易均以英語進行。
此次市集共為世界展望會籌得48,000元，並透過禮盒銷售為有需要的學生籌得31,000元。游校長表示，這項活動教導學生珍惜資源、關懷他人，並培養明智的消費觀念。
